Baban Roy began his career in hospitality in a role that soon inspired a clear ambition to become a chef.
His career has since taken him through some of the most respected names in Bengali dining, including 6 Ballygunge Place and Oh! Calcutta. Now at The Ivara, Baban draws on his experience and passion to present a distinctive and soulful interpretation of Bengali cuisine. His approach remains simple: to feed people well and allow each dish to tell the story of Bengal.
